Kenny & George ~ Country Connection

Country superstars Kenny Chesney & George Strait seem to have similar tastes in music! Last year the two teamed up on “Shiftwork” for Kenny’s Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates CD, and it looks like Kenny is still getting some musical help from King George. “Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven,” the lead single off Kenny’s upcoming CD, Lucky Old Sun, is actually a song that George recorded for his own CD, Troubadour. The song failed to make the final cut on George’s CD, but after George played it for Kenny on his bus one night after a show, Kenny fell in love with the song and decided to cut it himself. Another Strait song that seems to resonate with Chesney?…”Troubadour” which is George’s current single at radio…Kenny will have his own version on the new CD which is set for release through BNA & Blue Chair Records on October 14th.
