Apparently this morning while on her way to jail, Mindy McCready had nothing better to do than chat with TMZ about her chosen outfit for the day and her going away party last night.
What do you guys think…does it seem like she’s on the right path? After her performance at the CMA Fest back in June, we heard a lot of unflattering things about the way she was presenting herself to the folks in Nashville…that’s just what we heard though, we didn’t catch her performance. Then came the mishap of falsifying her community service records (which violated her probation and that’s why she’s going back to jail right now,) and then her rehab stint in July. It doesn’t seem like a positive path, but perhaps these are the steps she needs to take to get herself back together.
Nashville Gab directed us to this post from a blogger that spoke with Mindy last night, and her post leaves a slightly better impression that perhaps things are indeed on the way back up for Mindy.
Time will tell, and in the mean time, we wish her the best of luck and hope that things turn out well for her and her family.

In fan favorite “Got A Little Crazy,” Kenny Chesney sings “Last thing I remember/I told the Bartender/Mix rum and whatever you have”…well now Kenny will pack a little more meaning to that verse when he sings it to his fans! Kenny has teamed up with Constellation Spirits to develop a premium rum that will make its debut in the first quarter of 2010. Kenny will not appear on the actual packaging in any way, but he will help in the development, marketing, advertising and product positioning.
This seems like such a natural fit for Chesney. Not only is he known for his island vibe persona that surrounds his music, live shows and his fans, Chesney also graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Advertising. He’s far removed from his college days, but he’s obviously remembering a little something about that degree!
Kenny says “As an entertainer, my goal is to create an enjoyable experience for people. I’m going to take that same approach in developing a high-quality rum product with Constellation. We’re looking to create a fun-in-the-sun, vacation-in-a-bottle type experience that people everywhere can enjoy when they kick back and relax.”
Sounds like the perfect addition to a Chesney style tailgate party at one of his live shows!
