Did you know that Kevin Costner goes way back in the music business? The band’s history goes back 20 years! Once Costner’s acting career took off, he wasn’t able to devote as much time to the band. But, when he had free time, he and thhe band would spend time writing, recording, and playing.

After first hearing the album, radio programmer Scott Lindy said, “I know what you’re thinking about when you hear Kevin’s gonna put out an album of country music. I thought it too. But then I heard it, and I got it. He’s not chasing fame here (do you really think he needs to?), he’s following a passion. I couldn’t keep this music off of the air.”

I’m having a hard time picturing Kevin Costner singing it. Don’t know why. Song is OK but I found my mind wandering while listening to it. Guess it wasn’t captivating enough for me.

It is OK… would have to hear a few other songs to decide if I would buy the cd or not. His voice sounds kinda weak and hard to hear at points.

I really like this song. The music itself is great, it has a good beat. It definitely makes me want to hear more. I don’t know about his voice though, it is just ok. But then again, there are other artists out there with just ok voices getting radio play.

After seeing Swing Vote this summer, I wanted to hear other music from him and his band, so this was exciting for me. I will definitely be on the look out for more music from Kevin Costner and Modern West.

Lauren & Erin I personally think the song is okay. Surely not Kenny ;), but it’s not bad.
The beat is good, the sound of his voice is not what I was expecting, but with this being the only song to hear, I say that it would be definately something to give a listen to once more songs are out.

Wow Kevin Costner… I kinda liked it .. kinda reminded me of Bruce Sprinsteen sound… I would like to hear more, I wish him well with it .

I think I like it! I found my thumb tapping on the side of my computer mouse, so I can easily picture myself doing the same thing on my car steering wheel – and that’s usually the big test. It intrigued me enough to go find his MySpace page and watch a couple videos. Not bad – I hope he does well with it.
