So i’ve watched and dancing wise – he has improved. I think it’s a little weird to see him doing some of the moves cause i always thought of him as more of the sporty guy then the dance guy. Sometimes I just shake my head cause it seems so overdone and so not like him. But competition wise hes not doing TOO bad but i def def don’t think he will win or really be around much longer after they get rid of the obvious people that suck.
As for it being a good idea? i still strongly believe that it wasn’t. What has this done for his music career? Nothing. They hardly even focus on it. He is on it as julianne hough’s bf who HAPPENS to sing country music. thats about it. How long has Man of the House been out? two months? There is NO video for it and not alot of buzz about it either. He does a random show here or there which is fine but he should be all over the place doing shows – getting his music OUT THERE. Some of the shows he HAS canceled was a night that Julianne had a show so he can go be with her and practice. How come she gets to have a crap load of shows and he doesnt? Bad move chuck. bad move.

My opinion did not change at all. Honestly..what has DWTS done for chuck? Oh yeah.. it has made him cancel shows, it has made him seem whipped by Julianne, oh and it deff gave him the publicty that he wanted-to be known as Juliannes Boyfriend.
Question for you Margaret. MAn of the house is out? Really? its been 2 months? WHy Haven’t i heard it on the radio? Come to think of it the only place i heard it was on my chuck cd!

I still stand with the same comments I made when it was first announced. I support Chuck and Julianne 100% in whatever they do. I think they are both doing an excellent job on there and I think it was just something fun they both wanted to experience together…this has not and will not affect their music careers and once May is over, everyone will realize that once again :)

Just taking a little leave from their music career. Their doing fine with the dancing. Great for them to do something different. I don’t think this has ever been done b4. DWTS ends about May 18-19. U know they won’t last that long, but he will get to b well known…more than 20 million people watch this show every week. Don’t know what else will b offered him or both of them. Already their being shown on other shows, TV appearances n in magazines practically every week. Wish them the best.

I will always support Chuck. Chuck has done so much for his fans the past year. He did meet and greets for hours and treated us like we were his friends. I think more people know who Chuck Wicks is now. I’m his fan and he will always support him, if he made this choose, he knew it was right the right thing to do. Its not our choose what do it’s his. I’ll vote for Chuck Wicks every week that is on DWTS.

I think he is doing a really good job. And I don’t think it will hurt his career. He probably is on dwts because he wouldn’t to see what Julianne loves & has been doing her whole life.

I think they are doing a great job. I am excited every week to see them come out and to see home much Chuck has improved. Chuck is just doing what Julianne did and that was branch out to a different crowd to get his name out there. Frankly I think it is working. Come on now, how can you not like these two. They are funny and adorable together. I hope they are in it for the long haul with dancing with the stars and their relationship

I think it’s an easy way to personally gain recognition. I think they should be out promoting country music the old way, one show at a time.

i have to agree with julianne that a disadvantage of their partnering on dwts is that everyone thinks it’s an advantage. i wish they had not been put together on the show. not because i haven’t enjoyed them, because i have. but, i think alot of people haven’t allowed themselves to like chuck because of what they perceive as an unfair advantage. i was a chuck fan before i knew he would be on dwts. i love his cd–not a throwaway song on it. and, i think he is smart and funny and i love how he treats julianne. (how they treat each other-i really believe they are in love…) of course, it doesn’t hurt that he’s hot and so is she. i don’t see anything wrong with him being on dwts. with millions of people watching each week, he’s bound to gain a fan or two. don’t tell me any other young talent wouldn’t take advantage of getting their name out there on national tv if they had the chance. chuck and jules were asked to do this, he’s getting better every week, and, it’s a pleasure to see two people happy and having fun! normally, i’m a mark ballas fan. but, this season chuck and julianne are getting all of my votes. this season the competition is going to be tough, especially with melissa bringing a huge fanbase over from the bachelor, so, country fans, let’s all keep voting each week for chuck!

Julianne is really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this cowboy wannabe. She’d be better off alone than with this guy. He’s using her and she’s too dumb to see it. This is hurting her career and doing nothing for his.

Julianne and Chuck are doing great on DWTS. Chuck is improving every week. He is really getting there. I thought from the beginning that the competition would be much harder for them both, since so many people thought it was an advantage for them to be dancing together. I still think that it is a big disadvantage for both of them. Chuck doesn’t want to disappoint her so he puts himself under a a tremendous amount of pressure. As for Julianne, I believe it’s much harder for her to dance with him than it was with any of her other partners, since she cares about Chuck a lot, she can feel how nervous he is and it is clearly a disadvantage for her. I vote for them everyweek with my home phone, both my cell phones and on the Internet. I hope that the judges will start to treat them fairly and that they will go far in the competition. Regarding their country career, I think it will only do them good. Country fans are very loyal to the ones they love and the DWTS fans are even more loyal. They have helped Julianne get to where she is now and if they like Chuck they will do the same for him. They are both very talented and they will both go very far. I wish them both the best.

My thoughts haven’t changed. I still think this was a mistake. As some way above have said, what’s changed? Chuck is still just being thought of as Julianne’s hanger on boyfriend. His music is still not getting very much recognition. People are more interested in talking to him about Julianne. ”Man of the House” seems stalled.
Chuck’s personality doesn’t seem to be coming off well on television. He isn’t wining over alot of the DWTS audience. He’s ranked low in all the polls. I think he would have been better off to have just sung on the show as a musical guest. I also think he would have been better accepted by the audience if he had been paired with one of the other pro dancers. Julianne would have probably been better off to have taken her season off like she was planning. She just doesn’t look like she’s enjoying this all that much. There are quite a few in Chuck’s fanbase that have chosen to remain quiet, but there are those of us who wish Chuck and Julianne had remained more private about their relationship, and not come off as using it for publicity sake. It would be nice if the focus were back on Chuck and his music, and not just Chuck and Julianne. I don’t think it’s going to serve him well in the future to continue be thought of as just part of a package deal.

I think they are doing well. He has no dancing background. I don’t think there is anything wrong with what they are doing. Why does it matter what they are doing? I don’t think this is going to hurt either of their careers. Seriously why would them choosing to do DWTS ruin them? Julianne did it last season and was fine. Maybe he just wants to know what goes on and what it’s all about for her. I don’ think their relationship is fake. They’ve been together for a while before they started the show. They were together for a while before they even confirmed they were dating. If you like their music it shouldn’t matter if they are on the or not.

I LOVE Chuck, as a country music artist. I’ve watched him 1 time on DWTS. I’ve never been into that show, and even after his performance(which he was good) I still won’t watch the show again. I just watched to suppose Chuck on there but I’m not into that type of dancing.
BUT my opinion is still the same as before. I think him and julianna, especially her, are doing it for publicity purposes. I’m not a fan of Julianna because of her actions with country music, but I do still support Chuck and his music. I think it was a bad idea to sacrifice his shows for dancing, especially when the music is much more important. I also believe this is another way for Julianne to continue to gain publicity just for herself. I don’t think its right at all. It’s not a smart move on his part and I don’t think he should be on the show anymore after this season. I hope he doesn’t turn out like her and start to back out of the music industry just to do something else. Country music would lose a great and very talented artist!! :(

I don’t think anyone’s opinion has changed at all, at least no one that I talked to – or any posts that I have read anywhere. I just wish people would let this go and quit bringing this up – it is what it is, and they both seem happy and that’s what matters at the end of the day.
I don’t think it was the best decision, but I am still voting for them and enjoy watching them on the show – looking forward to May when the show ends, so it can all just get back to the music =)

Chuck and Julianne are doing fine. They may not go all the way but they sure benefit from the media exposure. There are certain groups out there who hate on Chuck and Julianne in preservation of their self-interests, but the number has clearly dwindled, otherwise this pair would have been out the second week.
I think it was nice of Chuck to step into Julianne’s world, after Julianne stepped into Chuck’s last summer. They are doing what they want to do and having fun, which is what any young, unattached couple should do.
As an aside, Chuck and Julianne have obviously given your blog considerable traffic, so it behooves you to be more supportive of them.
