Martina Debuts At No. 1

Martina McBride successfully released her album Shine last week and it went straight to the top! Selling over 41,000 copies in it’s first week, Shine is the fourth album of Martina’s career to debut at No. 1. Martina took to her blog to share the good news with her fans yesterday…

Hey everybody,
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shine deuted at #1 on the country albums chart!!!!!! I am so happy and excited! Got the news this morning in LA where I am doing press and appearances to promote the album. I had forgotten today was the day we find out and I jumped up and down and screamed (picture it). I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who bought the album. And also thanks to everyone who worked behind the scenes to promote it “telling everyone”. I’m so proud of this record and so excited about the future. John and I are going out to dinner with the whole band and crew, my glam team, and my manager and celebrating tonight! Wish you could be with us! LA has been fun. We did Craig Ferguson a little while ago (love that show) and got to meet him. It airs April 17th. We do Ellen tomorrow. That’s always a fun show. Gotta go and start getting ready for dinner. I’m having champagne tonight!
