Back in March, John Mayer tweeted about wanting to record a duet with teen sensation Taylor Swift. Fans will be happy to know that they did in fact record a song together.
Mayer is set to release a new album titled Battle Studies later this fall. The album will feature a duet with Swift called, “Half Of My Heart.”
Mayer says the new album is very different from his last release. ”Where Continuum was R&B and Soul, Battle Studies was written with the timelessness of Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and Neil Young in mind. The melodies and message are concise and from-the-gut with the efficiency of simplicity.”
Battle Studies will be released on November 17.

“My mom is with me all the time and she makes me keep it real. When you start making your way up it’s easy to surround yourself with people who just say yes to you all the time and tell you just what you want to hear, and my mom will never ever do that. She is not afraid of hurting my feelings or telling me something I don’t want to hear. It keeps me real and grounded.” ~ Taylor Swift

Holly Williams and drummer Chris Coleman were married over the weekend at Cedarwood, an 1830s farm estate in Nashville.
The outside ceremony included special guests Kid Rock and Rascal Flatts‘ Jay DeMarcus. DeMarcus sang a solo version of the trio’s hit “Bless The Broken Road” at the event.
Holly was escorted down the aisle by her father Hank Williams Jr. She says he ”was wildly nervous but he did great with it. He kept himself together.”
Coleman says he was taken back when he first saw his bride.
“Holly was breathtaking,” he says. ”When she turned the corner with her dad I was overwhelmed, and the closer she got the more beautiful she got. I don’t know if it was the sun radiating or her, but either way I was sweating.”
Congrats to the happy couple!
