We have had countless people write to us saying that we must listen to Josh Thompson‘s “Beer On The Table,” and it seems that our readers aren’t the only ones taking notice! The song was featured on the Today Show this past Friday as the show used “Beer On The Table” as they introduced George Wendt (Norm from “Cheers”) to their audience.
In New York City for the first time ever on Friday, Thompson said, “Growing up we watched Cheers all the time, and I loved Norm so it’s really cool and a little bit crazy that ‘Beer On The Table,’ was part of the show! We were in the city for only a day, and it was busy but I did get to see Times Square and Central Park, which was unbelievable. Where else can you see ducks and an ice skating rink in the same place?”
“Beer On The Table” has already reached the top 30 on the singles charts and fans will soon be able to hear more Josh Thompson music when his self-titled, digital EP becomes available on November 10. In addition to the Top 30 single, the EP features “Won’t Be Lonely Long,” “Way Out Here,” “Sinner,” all of which he wrote or co-wrote.
