Kenny Chesney Co-Hosts Countdown

Kenny Chesney joins Lon Helton this week to co-host the CMT Country Countdown USA.  During the show, which will air on Saturday and Sunday across the country, Kenny will discuss his plans to slow things down next summer, his thoughts on selling more tickets than other artist this century, his CMA Awards duet of “I’m Alive” with Dave Matthews, and his own personal review of The Blind Side, which stars one of his best friends, Tim McGraw.

One other topic that couldn’t be avoided was the ever popular Taylor Swift.  Kenny and Lon talked about what Kenny has told Taylor about taking home the coveted Entertainer of the Year trophy. “I told her that they don’t give these away, she should be very proud of herself, and she should take it and run with it,” Chesney said.  “You have to earn being in that spot, and I know how hard she’s worked, and I was very proud of her.  I wanted her to know I was proud of her.”
