Carrie Underwood & Mike Fisher Are ENGAGED!!

A source has confirmed to The Ottawa Sun that Carrie Underwood and her boyfriend of more than one year, Mike Fisher, are ENGAGED to be married.

The Ottawa Sun reports, “a source close to the couple confirmed to the Ottawa Sun that Fisher popped the question and Underwood has accepted the proposal.

We first reported the information last night via twitter (@cmilove) as a RUMOR because nothing had been confirmed yet. The rumor started because a man claiming to be a friend of the Fisher Family, Colin Peters, tweeted, “Congratulations to mike fisher and Carrie underwood! We just got the call at our family Christmas get together :).” A few hours after the tweet, Peters made his Twitter account private.

Nither Underwood nor Fisher have released an official statement.

UPDATE: It’s 100% confirmed!

Carrie’s rep has confirmed the engagement to People.com. She says, “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier. No wedding date has been set at this time.”

Fisher also confirmed the engagement today in an interview saying, “It’s true. We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”

Aww..Congrats to the happy couple! A year seems a bit fast but hey they do seem VERY happy. I’m so happy for her, and her song ‘mama’s song’ IS real now. I doubt she would’ve accepted if she was truly in love with him. I wish them nothing but happiness together for the rest of their lives. Yay for Carrie!! :D
