Carrie Underwood Prepares For Wedding

Although she has yet to set a wedding date, Carrie Underwood is already thinking ahead to her big day. Like most brides-to-be, Carrie is taking extra caution to make she keeps her slim figure for her big day. In a recent radio interview with an Ottawa, Ontario station, Carrie confessed “Genetics are not exactly on my side. Once I got out of high school I packed on about 10 pounds, and once I was on American Idol I packed on another 10 pounds. I’m a little person, I’m 5-3, and I was about 130.. I carry all my stress weight, all my potato chip weight, around my mid section. You’ve got to fight genetics sometimes.” To fight the bulge, Carrie has hired a new personal trainer who is “kicking my butt,” she says. “I need it. Especially with a tour coming up and a wedding to look good for.”

When it comes to their big day, Carrie says that her fiance, Mike Fisher, is being hands-on. “He jumps in, and he always says he doesn’t. he’s like, ‘Oh, I don’t care. Just whatever you want!’…But then I go and ask him, ‘What do you think about this? and he’ll go ‘Oh, no,’ and he’ll weigh in. I think he’s going to be more involved than he initially thought he wanted to be, which is good. I need help.”

Carrie admits that since Mike is stationed in Ottawa with his hockey team and she’s in Nashville planning for her new tour, the next few months “are going to be difficult… It seems like this past year when I have time off they have away games…We’re hoping the summer will be some nice time for us to spend consecutive days together.”

While Carrie prepares for her “Play On” tour and her wedding, you can catch her on your TV screen. “Biography: Carrie Underwood” will air at 9 p.m. this Thursday on the Bio channel as well as on the two-part season premiere of “American Idol” at 7pm January 12 & 13 on FOX.
