Just when we thought the drama surrounding LeAnn Rimes and boyfriend Eddie Cibrian was over…

E! Online is reporting that Rimes sent a cease and desist letter to Cibrian’s soon to be ex wife, Brandi Glanville, on Thursday. Rimes is accusing Glanville of slander. E! also reports that if Glanville doesn’t respond within five days, Rimes will file a lawsuit.

A rep from LeAnn’s camp confirmed that she had sent the letter and issued the following statement:

“After months and months of Brandi speaking about LeAnn in the press and telling lies. This is a reaction, and something she felt was necessary to do to protect herself.”

A source tells E! that Cibrian and Glanville’s divorce is close to being final.
