Ryan is actually 35, not 40. Regardless of that though he is still too old for her.

I believe they are dating, but I don’t think it will last. Julianne has a new album to promote. I think the press she gets from these “rumors” is exactly what she wants to help keep her name in the news. Just look at the official statement from her Rep. They say they don’t want to comment and then in the next breath ask the reporter to mention that JH has a new album coming out. Smooth.

One thing is certain..Julianne Hough is in dire need of media training. She went from flat out denying it to this crap answer. I hope her Publicist is on top of that.

Julianne has NEVER been really good with the media. She is getting better, though, but yes, probably some training is in order. She’s worked her entire life for what she’s doing, but media training has never been part of it.

I don’t think it says that much about Chuck, who added 5 years on to Ryan’s age, in his quest to slam Julianne. Yes, Ryan’s a lot older than she. She’s been older than her years her entire life, when she was in London, they were going to school, and still dancing for probably 20 hours a week, and traveling worldwide every weekend for Ballroom Dance Competitions, I don’t think she, nor her brother, ever had a REAL childhood. And let’s face it…. She was engaged at 18yo, and her fiance was 24 or 25, so dating older men isn’t exactly NEW to her.

Is she dating Ryan? It seems so. Probably not, but I’m glad that she’s learned that she would love to be able to keep her private life private, even if she didn’t express it very well. It did seem that she was surprised by the question, and was trying to think and talk at the same time.

I agree completely with E.K. I think she’s using it for publicity. She hasn’t had anything happen in her music career since she left DWTS. I think that is also why she is going back to DWTS. She lost the media and people watching her career once she left that show and hasn’t done anything worthwhile. I don’t see her music career lasting much longer unless her new record is something amazing. And who cares if they’re dating. Yes, he is WAY too old for her but thats how Julianne rolls. I think she needs an older guy (that has an actual successful career) to take care of her. And look at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. She is much older than him and they seem to have a great marriage.

I don’t think Julianne need anyone to ”take care of her.” Girlfriend seems quite self sufficient .She’s only 21 and has already accomplished quite a lot I’d say. I doubt the Seacrest thing is true. If she’s taken meetings with him I would assume it’s for business opportunities. Julianne is savvy in how to keep her name out there no matter how she does it. I think the music part of her career is not as secure as she thought it was. She seems to get attention for everything but music.
