Report: Carrie Underwood Crew Member Involved In Fatal Accident

A man driving a tractor-trailer that was killed this morning when his truck plummeted off Interstate 95. One of Carrie Underwood’s fan Twitter accounts, @CUNews4Fans reports that the truck was carrying equipment for Carrie Underwood’s “Play On” Tour, which is scheduled to make a stop a the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, CT‎.

The family of the driver is in our thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE: A representative from Foxwoods has confirmed to CountryMusicIsLove that the truck was in fact carrying Underwood’s equipment and that the show will still go on as scheduled tonight.

One of country music’s most anticipated tours of 2010, Carrie Underwood’s “Play On Tour,” will kick off this Thursday, March 11 in Reading, PA at the SovereignCenter, with special guests Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia.
