Miranda Lambert’s Bringing The Boys On The Road

March 12th, 2010

Miranda Lambert announced yesterday who she’ll bring on the road for supporting acts on her upcoming “Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars” headlining tour.  If you were thinking that Miranda would bring some other country ladies out on the road, you couldn’t be more wrong!  Miranda is instead bringing out some of the hottest male talent there is!

James Otto, David Nail, Randy Houser, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Eric Church, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Wade Bowen, and Chris Young will each join Miranda on select dates of the tour.

“I can’t wait to get out on the road with Miranda,” says an enthusiastic Jake Owen. “She and her band know how to rock and our show is a perfect fit with that. Her fans are always ready to have a good time and we’re ready to show them a party.”

“Miranda and I both have a lot of respect for each other musically,” says Eric Church. “I consider her a badass and she considers me one. Put us both together and it should be unsafe at best. Everybody better rest up for this one cause we’re gonna blow it up.”

Visit Miranda’s website for a complete list of dates for the “Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars” tour.

Josh Turner “Dances” His Way To The Top Of The Charts

February 23rd, 2010

Josh Turner’s hit single “Why Don’t We Just Dance” is holding the No.1 position on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for three consecutive weeks and is also at No.1 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart. “Why Don’t We Just Dance” is the first three-week-number-one single of Turner’s career.

“I am on cloud nine right now,” says Turner. “You can’t get any higher than #1 and to stay there for three weeks is just incredible. I am really happy that people love this song.”

Haywire, Turner’s fourth studio album, debuted at No.5 on the Billboard 200 chart and entered Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart at No.2 – marking the singer/songwriter’s third straight top 10 album.

Turner adds, “With the way the economy is right now, I’m especially grateful to every person who went out and bought the new record and helped us have such a great first week on the sales charts.”

Turner will soon be hitting the road with Alan Jackson and Chris Young on the “Freight Train” Tour.

“I am really looking forward to sharing the stage with Alan,” he says. “He has always been one of my musical heroes and I know we will be playing for a great group of country music fans during this tour.”
