Miranda Lambert’s Bringing The Boys On The Road

March 12th, 2010

Miranda Lambert announced yesterday who she’ll bring on the road for supporting acts on her upcoming “Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars” headlining tour.  If you were thinking that Miranda would bring some other country ladies out on the road, you couldn’t be more wrong!  Miranda is instead bringing out some of the hottest male talent there is!

James Otto, David Nail, Randy Houser, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Eric Church, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Wade Bowen, and Chris Young will each join Miranda on select dates of the tour.

“I can’t wait to get out on the road with Miranda,” says an enthusiastic Jake Owen. “She and her band know how to rock and our show is a perfect fit with that. Her fans are always ready to have a good time and we’re ready to show them a party.”

“Miranda and I both have a lot of respect for each other musically,” says Eric Church. “I consider her a badass and she considers me one. Put us both together and it should be unsafe at best. Everybody better rest up for this one cause we’re gonna blow it up.”

Visit Miranda’s website for a complete list of dates for the “Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars” tour.

Miranda Lambert Announces First Headlining Tour

February 10th, 2010

Miranda Lambert headlining tour

Miranda Lambert has toured with some of country’s music’s hottest acts including Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley and now, she’s going to embark on her very first headlining tour!

Lambert’s “Roadside Bars And Pink Guitars” Tour will kick off March 18th in Beckley, WV. The tour will make stops in at least 22 cities and more to be announced. She will be joined by David Nail, James Otto, Randy Houser and Wade Bowen among others.

In addition to her own headlining tour, Lambert will take part in the prestigious Lilith Fair Tour and joins an A-list lineup including Kings of Leon, Jay-Z, Dave Matthews Band and Norah Jones, performing at this year’s Bonnaroo Music Festival in June.

“In the last 5 years, I have learned so much from all the amazing artists I’ve toured with,” said Lambert. “Now it’s my turn to venture out and do more shows of my own. I’m happy that there are a lot of great new artists who are willing to come out and support my tour.”

Fans, critics and peers agree it’s time for the award-winning Texas singer/songwriter to take center stage. Recent performances have garnered such praise as “one of modern country’s most formidable talents” from The Oklahoman and from the Dallas Morning News “She can command a stage as good as any of the genre big boys.”

Last week, Lambert, taped an episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, which airs this spring and was a presenter at the Grammy Awards, where she was also nominated for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her self-penned song “Dead Flowers.” While in Los Angeles as part of Brad Paisley’s “American Saturday Night” Tour, she will tape two upcoming shows for the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson (air dates TBA.)

David Nail Is “Turning Home”

February 3rd, 2010

David Nail

(Tony LaRussa, ARF Founder/Manager St. Louis Cardinals; Mark McGwire, St. Louis Cardinals Hitting Coach and Nail)

David Nail’s third and latest single “Turning Home”, written by Kenny Chesney and Scooter Carusoe and from his debut album I’m About To Come Alive, was released last week. It garnered 35 first-week stations’ support, which made it the #1 most-added single on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and Billboard charts. “Home” continues in growth this week with 23 more adds. Click HERE to hear it and HERE to purchase it.

Nail’s previous single “Red Light” is the longest charted single in Mediabase history at 42 weeks.

For the second time in a month, Nail volunteered his time and voice for fundraisers benefiting the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF). Held in Walnut Creek, California (January 9) and St. Louis, Missouri (January 17), the events and the organization’s founder Tony LaRussa, also known as the Manager of the St. Louis Cardinals, provide money to build and operate a facility where dogs and cats can be taken once their time at public shelters has run out. Their mission is to bring people and animals together to enrich one another’s lives. Cardinals Hitting Coach Mark McGwire was also in attendance in St. Louis.

Fan Review: David Nail

January 11th, 2010

DavidNail - CountryMusicIsLove

Two of our readers, Jackie and Courtney, along with their sisters and friends, took in David Nail’s concert over the weekend and were anxious to write a review to tell everyone how great his show was!  Jackie and Courtney were lucky enough to hang out with David after the show talking about life, music, and Twitter!  Read below to share in the girls’ fun night…

After seeing a few shows, buying his cd and falling in love with his lyrics, David Nail is easily one of our “new” favorite country stars to hit the stage this past year! We’ve been fortunate to meet him a few times after seeing a couple of his shows. It was no surprise that when we heard he was going to be playing in Sacramento that we would go see him.

David Nail - CountryMusicIsLove

Once again (as expected) he brought it! HE CAME, HE SANG AND HE CONQUERED! The voice coming through the speakers is always as amazing as the lyrics to his songs. The crowd was loving every second of the show as they sang back “Red Light” as well as many other songs off of his debut album. You could tell that when he was singing up there on that stage that he was just living in the moment and loving it! It was awesome to see him react to the people that are responding so well to his music. He had so much energy and we really felt like he gave it his all! Our only complaint is that his set seemed to end so quickly (as it tends to when you’re having a blast)! :)

DavidNail -CountryMusicIsLove

After the show, we were lucky enough to get a chance to chat with him. He went on to tell us that this had been the “best show ever this far in my short career!” He said that it was neat to see people singing his songs back at him. For us it was really cool to hear the stories behind some of the songs and the thought process that is put into what he’s doing. David Nail is truly an amazing artist and we will continue to support him and his music for as long as he is putting out albums.

DavidNail- CountryMusicIsLove

With that being said, if you get the chance to see David, we highly suggest that you don’t miss it! You should probably also go out today and pick up a copy of his CD, I’m About To Come Alive. It will most likely end up on repeat as is ours!
