Fun Weekend For Dierks Bentley

Dierks Bentley had a fun weekend that he won’t soon forget!  After his own performance on Friday night at Louisville KY’s HullabaLOUFest, Dierks got to perform with Bon Jovi. Check out the amateur footage below as Dierks joined the legendary rocker for “Wanted Dead Or Alive”…

After a great start to the weekend, Dierks went on to open up a couple of shows for Tim McGraw. Dierks tweeted this pic (below) of the two and said “had a blast with THE MAN… @timmcgraw … fun 2 nights.”

Certainly an exciting few days for Dierks… Bon Jovi, Tim McGraw, and of course the announcement of his expanding family! Looks like it’s a good time to be Dierks Bentley!

Stay Up Late With Dierks Bentley Next Week

Dierks Bentley will treat television audiences to the debut of two new tracks on late night tv next week. Bentley will perform the ballad “Fallin’ For You” on the Late Show with David Letterman on Tues., July 27 and “Draw Me A Map” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Wed., July 28.

“A lot of times when you get invited to do these shows, you end up doing the same song over and over…usually whatever your current radio single is at the time,” Bentley says. “It’s really flattering that folks were listening and asking for deeper album cuts. I love being able to highlight as many of these songs as possible because I think they are all special.”

Critical acclaim continues to roll in for his latest album, Up On The Ridge, with Entertainment Weekly most recently highlighting “Bad Angel” as the sole country track on their 10-song “Perfect Summer Playlist.” Other artists making the short list include Maroon 5, Gaslight Anthem and The Roots.

Dierks Bentley Opens Up To CNN About New Music, Old Boots

Dierks Bentley recently sat down with CNN to chat about everything from his old boots to his new music.

If you’ve ever seen Bentley live, you may have noticed that his boots are always all taped up and rugged looking. You may have asked yourself why he doesn’t  just go out and buy a new pair…Bentley says it’s because he likes to stay connected with his past and where he’s been.

“I like old things,” Bentley tells CNN. “Old things have memories attached to them. It just makes them have character — old guitars, old trucks, old boots.”

“Once I put my jeans on,” he adds, “You can’t see anything except the tape. I’ve put a lot of miles on these boots. I feel like they deserve to go everywhere I’ve been.”

As for his music, Dierks says that his bluegrass album shouldn’t have been a surprise to his hardcore fans.

“I think my longtime fans knew that I was going to do something like this, because every record I’ve had has had a bluegrass track on it at the end,” Dierks says. “I moved to Nashville when I was 19, and discovered this world of acoustic bluegrass music, and I just thought it was really authentic.”

Bentley’s latest album, Up On The Ridge, is available now.
