Love And Theft To Perform For America’s “Single Best Town”

KRAFT Singles has teamed up with Disney ABC to discover America’s “Single Best Town,” inviting people all across the country to share the single best thing about their town.

This spring, America’s winning “Single Best Town” will enjoy an unforgettable block party featuring country music trio Love And Theft, who are gearing up to tour with country music superstars Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum.  The winning town will rock out to music from the band’s recently released debut album, World Wide Open, including hits “Runaway” and “Dancing In Circles.”  The block party will also feature appearances by ABC Soap Stars.

“When we’re out on tour we get to see the best of America in every town we visit, so we’re really looking forward to jamming with the “Single Best Town” in America,” says Stephen Barker Liles of Love And Theft. “Who knows, we might even write a song about it!”

Love And Theft, Bucky Covington, & Sawyer Brown Spread Holiday Cheer

Love And Theft, Bucky Covington, and Sawyer Brown all joined together to bring a little extra pre-holiday cheer to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital with a surprise guitar pull. To the children’s delight, the performance included a mix of favorite Christmas carols and country hits. Many of the children jumped in and played toy drums, tambourines and maracas along to the music. After the show, all of the performers visited with the children, their families and hospital employees.

 “Seeing all of the children’s faces light up was an early Christmas gift me,” said Covington. “All of these children are going through trying times and have long days. I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to give them a nice break in the day and bring a little holiday cheer.”

From there, they headed over to the Ronald McDonald House to prepare and serve up a special birthday lunch for one of the young children currently undergoing treatment at Vanderbilt.  Bucky, the members of Sawyer Brown and Love And Theft donned birthday party hats, played balloon toss and got the whole house singing Happy Birthday.

How sweet!

CMA Announces 1st Round Of 43rd Annual CMA Award Presenters

People.com is reporting that the Country Music Association has announced the first round of presenters for the 43rd Annual CMA Awards. Dale Earnhardt Jr, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes, Julianne Hough, Randy Houser, and Jake Owen are set to present awards on “Country Music’s Biggest Night.” ABC’s Robin Roberts and Patricia Heaton & Neil Flynn from ABC’s Wednesday night comedy, The Middle will also present.

In addition, hot new trio Love And Theft will host the Pre-Telecast Awards, which are given out during the half-hour before the televised event begins. Among the Awards presented during this time are the CMA Broadcast Awards, which recognize the Broadcast Personality and Station of the Year in four categories (small, medium, large, and major market) as well as the National Broadcast Personality of the Year.

The show is set to air Wednesday, November 11 on ABC.

Tim McGraw Announces 2010 “Southern Voice” Tour

Tim McGraw just announced a major arena tour for 2010!

The “Southern Voice Tour” is set to kick off at the Qwest Center in Omaha, NE on February 11 and conclude at at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Virginia Beach, VA on August 15th.

“I’m real excited to have this opportunity to hit the road next year with the ‘Southern Voice’ tour and look forward to playing new songs and old favorites for all my fans,” says McGraw.

Lady Antebellum will be joining McGraw on the road throughout the entire tour. The Lost Trailers will open dates from February 11 through April 10 and Love And Theft will open from April 11 through August 15.

ASCAP Country Awards

The country stars were out in Nashville last night for the ASCAP Country Awards which honored their top country songs and songwriters of the last year.  Stars like Kellie Pickler, Keith Anderson, Kenny Chesney, John Rich, Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley and many others were on hand at the Ryman Auditorium to see the honors as well as performances by up-and-coming acts David Nail and Love & Theft, among others.
