Danielle Bradbery Hopes To ‘Inspire People’ with Her Music

The Voice - Season 4

The Voice” winner Danielle Bradbery is hard at work on her forthcoming debut album. She’s already recorded two songs for the project, one of which is her debut single, “The Heart of Dixie.”

When it comes to selecting additional songs for the project, Bradbery says wants to record songs that matter to people, including girls her own age.

“Lyric-wise, I would like to give songs that inspire people, and of course young girls like me,” she explains (quote via Big Machine Records). “I would love to have those songs where–if somebody is having a bad day or is having a problem, they have my songs to look upon. So that would be really cool.”

The 16-year-old, who will premiere “The Heart of Dixie” on the “Today” Show on Wednesday, admits that although country is where is heart is, she hopes to bring in a bit of pop influence to her music.

“I love all genres so I would kind of do a little bit of mix of that pop country,” she says. “I like that mix in the music and I love country, of course, I would always stick to that.”

“The Heart of Dixie,” which was written by Brett James, Troy Verges and Caitlyn Smith, will be available on iTunes tomorrow.
