David Nail: ‘I’m Addicted’ to Twitter

Like many other country artists and celebrities, David Nail has adopted Twitter as a way to communicate with his fans.

It wasn’t an immediate love affair though.  “I can remember my management at the record label begging me to get involved with this thing called Twitter and I thought, that’s so ridiculous. Who cares that I’m eating lunch at Arby’s right now?” the singer tells Ladies Home Journal with a laugh.  “But it just became addicting like a drug.”

Now, he uses it to keep in touch with his 45,000 followers.  Unlike most celebrities, he actually does answer his fans – anything from questions about that night’s show to which football team he’s backing.  And he’ll be more than happy to talk sports with you.

“I’m addicted to it,” he admits.  “I think it’s a brilliant avenue to share news with people.”

And news he has – David just got his first No.1 single with “Let It Rain” and he’s a contender for the Academy of Country Music’s New Artist of the Year award.

He’s fast gaining a reputation for being one of the most approachable and enthusiastic musicians on the site.  So what are you waiting for?  If you don’t already, be sure to follow him on Twitter!
