Hunter Hayes and Jason Mraz Debut YouTube Mashup Of ‘Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me’
Hunter Hayes and Jason Mraz invited seven of the top YouTube artists to share their version of “Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me” as well as participate in an innovative one-take mash-up video that debuts today on YouTube. The video brought together Atlantic Records, Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Nashville for a YouTube first, creating a music video that features breakout YouTube stars as well as more established musicians.
The mash-up itself, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at creating the video that incorporates each artists’ rendition, is currently featured on the front page of the Business section of Los Angeles Times. The project was produced by YouTube star Kurt Schneider and also features two new Warner Bros. Records acts – Echosmith and Brandyn Burnette. All participants traveled to Los Angeles, Calif. over the past two weeks for the one-take video shoot at the YouTube Space LA.
CMT will host the exclusive TV premiere of “Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me” as part of its all-access weekend with Hunter on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown, airing Saturday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. ET. The special countdown episode will go behind-the-scenes with Hunter from the CMT On Tour: Hunter Hayes’ Let’s Be Crazy Tour, including an exclusive performance live from the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.
