Kip Moore Earns Second Consecutive No.1 Single with ‘Beer Money’
MCA recording artist Kip Moore has earned his second consecutive No. 1 single with “Beer Money” which took the top spot this week on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart. “Beer Money” is the second single from Kip’s debut album Up All Night to capture the No. 1 spot in just seven months. Earlier this year, “Something ‘Bout A Truck” held the top spot on both charts for two consecutive weeks making him the first solo artist in four years to have a debut album’s first single go No. 1 for multiple weeks. Up All Night is the best selling debut album from any country artist released in 2012.
To add to the celebration, Kip was named Country Aircheck’s No. 1 New Artist for 2012 and both singles are included in the Top 100 Songs of 2012 (“Something ‘Bout A Truck” No. 4 and “Beer Money” No. 66). In Billboard’s 2012 The Year In Music, Kip is the No. 2 Top New Country Artist, his singles are both in the Top 100 Country Songs (“Something ‘Bout A Truck” No. 12 and “Beer Money” No. 59) and his album ranks at No. 27 on the Top 100 Country Albums. Other accolades include iTune’s Top 200 Selling Songs of 2012 (“Something ‘Bout A Truck” No. 68) and Up All Night being named one of GAC’s Top 10 Country Albums of 2012.
Kip recently performed both hit singles on the American Country Award (ACA) in Las Vegas where he picked up the award for Most Played Radio Track by a New Artist for “Something ‘Bout A Truck.” He just wrapped up touring with Eric Church’s ‘The Blood, Sweat & Beers’ Tour this fall.
