Blake Shelton‘s final “The Voice” team member Jermaine Paul, a 33-year-old former background singer from Harriman, N.Y., took home the title of NBC’s “The Voice” last night.
An ecstatic Shelton ran up to hug his team member shouting “You did it! You did it!” Paul, who become overwhelmed with emotions, accepted the title saying, “I just want to say thank you to everybody that supported me from day one.”
Following the finale, Blake took to Twitter to express his excitement.
“Awe…And we arrive to my favorite place,” he wrote. “The place where every doubter, critic, hater or simply the ignorers can officially kiss my a**!!”
One of Blake’s followers quickly asked what “place” he was referring to.
“The winners circle my thick headed slow friend… The winners circle,” he quipped.
