Country music’s hottest stars and brightest newcomers gathered at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday evening for Country music’s biggest party of the year, the 2013 CMT Music Awards. The show, hosted by Kristen Bell and Jason Aldean, was packed with superstar performances and memorable moments.

Miranda Lambert Wins Big: Miranda Lambert continued her reign as one of Country’s queens with two wins, CMT Performance of the Year and Female Video of the Year. She had fans laughing when she got noticeably flustered after getting a kiss from Lenny Kravitz. Watch her acceptable speech below…

Superstar Collaborations: Last night’s show featured a handful of collaborations, including a few that pushed the boundaries of Country music. Some were a hit (“Wagon Wheel” with Darius Rucker and Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town and Keith Urban‘s performance of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain,” and the “Cruise (Remix)” with Florida Georgia Line and Nelly) and some were a miss (“American Woman” with Jason Aldean and Lenny Kravitz).  Re-live our favorite collaborations…

Jason Aldean Debuts “Night Train:” Jason Aldean took it to the streets for the first live television performance of his brand new single “Night Train.” Fans who packed the Bridgestone plaza for his performance were also treated to a colorful fireworks display. Check it out….

Star-Studded Opening Video: The CMT Music Awards opened with a hilarious bit that featured CMT Awards co-hosts Bell and Aldean along with ACM Awards co-hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, Shelton’s former ACM co-host Reba, actors Vince Vaughn, Kelsey Grammer, CMA Awards co-host Carrie Underwood, and more. Carrie Underwood Pays Tribute to Oklahoma: Underwood took the stage to honor her home state of Oklahoma and the victims of the recent tornadoes with a moving performance of her latest single “See You Again.” She miraculously managed to hold it together throughout the performance while images of the devastation were displayed on the screen behind her. It was by far one of the most memorable moments of the night.
