Update: Underwood confirmed this morning that her new single will be “Mama’s Song.”
“I’m just in such a happy place in my life right now and it ["Mama's Song"] really seems to fit and that song means more to me than ever; it just means a lot more to me right now than it ever has,” Underwood said in a backstage interview this morning.

Just like Pat Green did last year, Jason Aldean participated in this year’s Beckett Bowl, an event held in Boston last night. The annual bowling event is put on by Boston Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett, with all proceeds benefitting Children’s Hospital Boston.
Jason, who performed at the event’s official after-party at the House of Blues, stopped by Lucky Strikes Lanes to get in on the action. Also on hand were many of Beckett’s Red Sox teamates as well as other Boston athletes and celebrities.

The 4th Annual Chris LeDoux Spurs and Spikes Memorial Golf Tournament, founded by Jerrie Bennett, Pam Kinchen, and LeDoux’s wife Peggy, raised over $30,000 for the Chris LeDoux Memorial Foundation. Held at the Powder Horn Golf Club in Sheriden, WY, 36 teams participated in the two day event that included a practice round, BBQ, auction and live entertainment. RCA Records artist and longtime golfer Jake Owen made the trip to Wyoming to place in the tournament.

All of the money raised goes directly to the Chris LeDoux Memorial Foundation which goes to benefit various charities that were important to the LeDoux family such as the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.

AOL’s The Boot is reporting that the members of Emerson Drive have launched their own record label, Amdian Records.
“These are scary but exciting times,” fiddler David Pichette tells The Boot. “For the first time, our career is solely in our hands. The future is what we make of it.”
The group’s first single released from the new label is “That Kind of Beautiful,” which will hit country radio in the U.S. on August 16.
“We just loved the song. It was completely us so we cut it,” David says. “It’s actually been cut for about a year now. It was just shelved because we weren’t too sure what was going on in the U.S. when it came to labels. Now we’re independent, and we’ve got our own label. We’re not kidding ourselves, there’s a lot of work to be done. It’s not going to be an easy thing to do. There’s no way we can compete with the majors, but we’re going to do everything we can because we love what we do, and we’ve got families to raise and kids to put through college. We’re going to do everything we can to succeed.”
Emerson Drive hopes to release their new album, Believe, by the end of 2010.

According to Country Weekly, the bride-to-be didn’t spill many details about the upcoming nuptials during her lengthy interview with Wylie & Marty of Nashville’s WKDF.
